vocabulary

VOCABULARY


-Geometry: area, studies any elements and operations  (points,lines or  shapes).

-Point: place where two lines insect. It hasn't dimensons, height and width.

-Line: it's a infinite point, it has't got end.

-Ray: line begins at a particular points and extense in one direction.

-End point: is a point which a line segment.

-Midpoint: is the point between the endpoint.

-Line segment: line with two endpoints.

-Straight line:  points follow the same direction.

-Plane: two dimensional surface.

-Length: something from end to end.

-Freehand: drawn without instruments.

-Technical drawing: drawing made with help of supplies.

-Compass: tool for drawing circles and arcs.

-Protactor: instrument for drawing angles on paper.

-Set squares (UK): 45º triangle.

-Triangles(US): 30/60º.

-Eraser: objet used for deleting  something.

-Marker: pen with pressed fibres.

-Ruler: instrument used to draw straigth lines.

-Circle: set of  point at the same distance.

-Circumference: full length of a circle.

-Center: point equidistant of the points.

-Radius: it is the length of a line segment.

-Diameter: line segment that passes from the center.

-Chord: line segment which conects two point.

-Arc: segment of a circle.

-Tangent: element to straight or curve lines.

-Outer: when an element which doesn't touch a circumference.
